The House of Representatives has decided to postpone the plenary that was scheduled to start today, May 9, 2023.

May 16 has been set as the new date for the House meeting.

This information was provided in a statement on Monday night that was published on the House’s official Twitter account (@HouseNGR) and signed by the clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria.

The postponement was made so that House members could take part in the 10th National Assembly’s ongoing induction program.

“This is to advise all Honorable Members and the public that the House of Representatives will not reconvene on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, as previously scheduled. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, will be the next postponed date.

“With this change, Members will be able to actively participate in the 10th National Assembly’s ongoing induction program. We deeply regret any inconveniences, the statement said.
