Nigerian comedian and singer, Oderhwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, has said people often doubt his age because of his look.

The 21-year-old said he lost his dad at a very young age which made him to do a lot of hard jobs to survive and that affected his look.

He said his achievements also made it difficult for most people to believe his age.

The ‘Machala’ crooner said several ladies have told him that he looks 35.

He disclosed this while appearing on the interview segment of MTV Base Africa’s programme, Official Naija Top 10.

According to Carter Efe: “If I tell you that I’m 21 you will not believe because of my face. Look at my face? If you see my face your mind will tell you I’m ugly and you go dey wonder say this boy can not be 21.

“So, some girl think I’m 34 or 35. But I don’t blame them. I blame my dad who died early and left us [to suffer]. But I don’t give a f*ck sha because I’m doing well that is why they don’t want to believe I’m 21. I posted my passport on Twitter, they still didn’t believe me. It’s crazy.”
