In the 202: National Common Entrance Examinations administered by the National Examinations Council, a total of six individuals received a score of 1.

While providing a breakdown of the results in Abuja on Wednesday, Andrew Adejo, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, made this known.

“A total of (72,865) pupils registered compared to 71,738 for 2022 with Lagos State having the greatest number (18,644) and Taraba having the lowest number (102),” Adejo stated. We are closing the gender gap with 38,801 female and 34,064 male registrants, showing improvement; 69,829 students took the exam

3,036 students were not present, and 76 students received the highest score of 203. Six students received the lowest grade, a mark of 01, in the exam.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped make today possible, starting with the examination council, the monitors, markers, and pressmen who were present. As a result of the exam’s smooth operation, NECO’s ability to give its examinations is getting better.

As you are all aware, the majority of parents in the nation now start their search for a college at one of our Federal Unity Colleges. I want to reassure you that the federal government is making every effort to create better circumstances for successful teaching and learning in our schools, even if we are now confronting challenges with infrastructural development, food, and teacher quality.
