GOVERNOR Samuel Ortom has expressed disappointment over the scepticisms that greeted his attempted assassination story, over the weekend, from some quarters in the country.

Ortom said he said he had no reason to raise a false alarm that he was attacked if such incident did not happen.

The governor wondered the benefit he would derive from raising a false allegation.

He told reporters that he did not pray that his worst enemy passes through what he went through.

Ortom spoke in an interview with State House correspondents shortly after he met the President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting came three days after Ortom’s convoy was attacked while on his way to his farm.

Buhari has since ordered that the attack which took place on Saturday be thoroughly investigated.

Ortom said his meeting with the President was fruitful adding that Buhari had accepted some suggestions he made on the security situation in the state.

Reacting to the claim that some herdsmen are aggrieved over his rejection of RUGA in Benue State, Ortom insisted that he did not do anything wrong in enacting a law beneficial to the state.
