Simon Ekpa, the Finland-based self-proclaimed disciple of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has claimed that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi is “part” of the proscribed terrorist separatist organization.
The self-styled Biafra Spokesperson disclosed this recently via microblogging app, Twitter.
According to him, Obi is part of the rebel group “both physically, spiritually and otherwise.”
Threatening to expose the former Anambra state governor whom he said has hitherto supported the organization, Ekpa vowed to make “Biafraland” (southeast) unconducive for him after the presidential elections for denying Biafra and IPOB.
He accused the Labour Party presidential candidate of “using and dumping IPOB.”
In a series of tweets, he wrote: “Will @PeterObi who have supported Biafra & IPOB in everything from the beginning till now after denying Biafra, relocate to Kano before June 2023? At least temporary Exile in Arewa Republic because Biafraland will not be conducive. I am very sure of that.
“Peter Obi is part of IPOB, both physically, spiritually & otherwise, he lied.
“I am only responding to his lies. He think he can use IPOB & dump IPOB? We will drag him to Freedom next month.”
Neither the Labour Party presidential candidate nor his party has responded to the fresh allegations, as of the time of filing this report.
Obi once admitted to living with members of the proscribed terrorist organization. Some civil society groups recently petitioned the police to probe the Labour Party flag bearer’s alleged link with the separatist rebels who have been terrorizing the Southeast region.
