Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, the recently removed chairman of the Park Management System (PMS) disciplinary committee in Oyo State, has responded to his dismissal by stating that the police do not have the authority to declare him a wanted individual.

According to reports, Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, who is wanted by the police for alleged involvement in gun-running, expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde, emphasizing that the governor is still a destiny helper in his life.

Maintaining his commitment to peace, Auxiliary stated that he would abide by any decision made by the governor concerning transportation unions.

Addressing recent allegations of violence levelled against his associates in Ibadan, Auxiliary stated on a live radio programme from an undisclosed location on Saturday morning that he is a peace-loving individual who would never turn the state into a battleground as a result of the governor’s dissolution of the PMS.

Auxiliary dismissed the Oyo State Police’s declaration that he is wanted, saying, “Why would I, a sensible person, hide or store weapons at my residence?”

He warned his associates not to cause trouble or engage in violence in Ibadan or other parts of the state, pleading with them to abandon such plans.

While praising Governor Makinde and his ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, Auxiliary stated that both people have played important roles in his life.

However, Auxiliary expressed his willingness to comply with and cooperate with PMS integration and reform efforts involving other driver unions. He stated emphatically that he would accept the outcome even if the new reform did not benefit him.
