Tinubu, governors hold emergency meeting over nationwide hardship, insecurity

In light of the nation’s deteriorating economic and security circumstances, President Bola Tinubu is currently having an emergency meeting with state governors.
It was learned that the meeting started on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the Presidential Villa’s Council Chambers.

Attending the meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima, Federal Capital Territory (FTC) Minister Chief Nyesom Wike, and Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

Some governors were seen entering the Council Chambers for the meeting, including those from Ekiti, Delta, Borno, Lagos, Kwara, Nasarawa, and Edo.

The governors of Taraba, Adamawa, Cross River, Ogun, Enugu, Yobe, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Plateau, Kaduna, Sokoto, Niger, and Taraba are also present.

As far as this newspaper is aware, President Tinubu called the summit in an attempt to discover solutions to the nation’s growing food prices and widespread insecurity.

It is anticipated that the ongoing emergency meeting will produce a solution to address the growing price of food, insecurity, and other financial problems.

It was learned that the emergency meeting will be immediately followed by Vice President Shettima’s weekly National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.
