Tribunal: Atiku provides new allegations Against INEC Over Tinubu’s Drug, Dual Citizenship Offences
Abuja, FCT – Abubakar Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, has informed the presidential election petition tribunal in Abuja that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is unable to refute Bola Tinubu’s claims of drug dealing and dual citizenship.
On Friday, May 19, Atiku made this statement, stating that the electoral commission has no legal authority to defend the president-elect regarding his legitimacy and suitability to run for office. According to reports, Kemi Pinhero SAN, the attorney for the electoral commission, presented a motion in court asking for the dismissal of Atiku’s lawsuit against the president-elect.
The United States of America (USA) forfeited $460,000 in this case, along with possession of Guinea’s passport, allegiance to foreign nations, and 29 other things.
Atiku’s attorney, Chris Uche SAN, responded to the defendant’s pleadings by saying that the electoral body was not in a position to defend Tinubu and should instead maintain objectivity in the matter.

In defense of Tinubu, INEC made a request, which Uche claimed was not only absurd and unusual but also an outright abuse of the legal system and had no basis.
He stated:
“INEC ought not be here to fight the battle of Tinubu, INEC ought to be neutral and at best, defend only the election it conducted and which is the subject of Alhaji Abubakar Atiku’s petition.
This application by INEC in support of Tinubu lacks merit. It is grossly incompetent and should be outrightly rejected and thrown to the dustbin.”
Shortly after presenting his argument,
Atiku’s counsel urged the court to dismiss INEC’s motion because the electoral body was abusing the court process and lacking competence.
INEC Rejects Atiku, PDP Petition, Gives Reason In another development, INEC has kicked against the motion filed by the PDP and Atiku Abubakar to broadcast live the proceeding of the 2023 presidential election petition tribunal. Atiku and the PDP had filed a motion before the tribunal asking the court to order the live broadcast of the proceedings and the modalities involved. Defendants to the petition include the INEC, APC, the president and vice-president-elect, Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.
