Project Nigeria, Plateau to the world, Lalong tells Nigeria’s Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire

Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong, has appealed to Nigeria’s new Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire, Martin Adamu, to do everything in his capacity to project the country and Plateau state to the world.

Lalong made the appeal on Wednesday in Jos, when the career diplomat paid him a courtesy call at the new Government House.

While expressing confidence that the Ambassador will succeed in his assignment and bring pride to Nigeria and Plateau State, the governor urged the diplomat to assist in making noticeable the return of peace and stability to the state, saying the state is ready to receive investors and tourists from within and outside the nation.

In his remark, Ambassador Adamu said he was at the Government House to pay his respects to the Governor and to also appreciate the support his administration and the people of Plateau state have given him throughout his diplomatic journey which culminated in his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Ambassador assured Governor Lalong that he was determined to represent Nigeria with all excellence and patriotism as he has over the years received the training for the task ahead.

According to the Director of Press & Public Affairs to the governor, Makut Simon Macham, the Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire had promised further that even though his primary assignment was to protect the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians in his country of assignment, he will do all within his power to bring about investment opportunities that will bring development to Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
