FORMER Malawian President Joyce Banda says the life of late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua should be celebrated.

In a message posted on Joshua’s official Facebook page on Monday, June 21, Mrs. Banda described the late cleric as a servant who obeyed God at all times.

She also narrated how God used the televangelist to heal her husband of stroke.

Her statement read: “We want to thank God for the precious gift, Senior Prophet TB Joshua, that He gave to the world.

“In 2009, my husband Richard Banda was serving as Chief Justice in Swaziland after serving as Chief Justice of Malawi for ten years. In November of that year, he was travelling to West Indies to attend a conference of the Commonwealth Judges and Magistrates Association. In London, he suffered a massive stroke.

“I was myself serving as Vice President of Malawi and was in Venezuela attending the Venezuela/Africa summit representing my President. A day after my arrival there I received a message that my husband was in a London hospital following a stroke. I travelled back. The doctors, after treating him for two weeks, told me that he would have permanent brain damage and may never walk properly or speak again.

“I told the doctor that he was not God and that I would continue to call upon God for healing. From London, I travelled to the SCOAN, Nigeria to seek healing for my husband from God through His servant Prophet TB Joshua. We received our miracle and after two years we were able to go back to thank God for His mercy!

“It has been 12 years of spiritual growth through this Man of God. In 2019, he invited 10 members of our family for fellowship and prayers. His life should be celebrated. He was ready to go to be with the Lord. May his soul rest in everlasting peace!”

Banda became Malawian president in 2012 after the death of President Bingu Mutharika whose demise Joshua predicted.

She and her family were regular visitors to the Synagogue.

In videos shown on Emmanuel TV, Banda is falling on her chair after Joshua touched her head.

According to her, she visited Joshua the way some Christians visit Israel and Muslims visit Mecca.
