Traditional institutions can  solve insecurity — Lai Mohammed

THE Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has expressed confidence that traditional institutions can help curb insecurity in the country as they are the heartbeat of National security.

He disclosed this today when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, in the Government House, Dutse.

According to him, traditional institutions have a vital role to play in solving the present insecurity in the country.

“My visit to the emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi at his palace had explained to me more on the roles of traditional rulers in maintaining security in the country.”

The minister, therefore, promised government’s resolve to maintain a cordial relationship with traditional institutions.

The minister of Information was in Jigawa State to inspect the tallest flag in the country at Malam Alu Agro-allied farm in Birnin kudu local Government.

Earlier in his remarks, the Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Mohammadu Sanusi, said about 3000 to 4000 civil cases were treated and amicably resolved monthly by the department of conflict and resolution of the Emirate.

The Emir explained that the state is the most peaceful in the country because Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has recognized the role of the traditional rulers and given them maximum support to settle civil disputes among their people.
