Let’s swallow our pride and learn from Nigerians – Wendy Shay tells fellow Ghanaians artists

Beautiful Ghanaian female singer, Wendy Shay, has called on her fellow Ghanaian artists to humble themselves and learn from their Nigerian counterparts.

She said Nigerian musicians are putting Africa on the global music spotlight through afrobeats and deserve commendations.

Shay who stated this via Twitter on Monday, asked her fellow Ghanaian singers to undergo mentorship from Nigerians to gain global exposure.

She said she was being used by God to speak to the Ghanaian artists, and urged them to take her advice seriously.

She wrote, “Give Nigerian Artistes their flowers 4 bringing the world’s Attention to africa thru Afrobeats N u ppl vex?
I will say it again lets swallow our pride, go to dem and ask dem how they did it,they might show us the road.
God is using me speak to u,U ppl no wan listen
Ghana wake up.”

In an earlier tweet, she said “Ghanaian Artistes should thank Nigerians Artistes , For bringing the world’s attention to Africa …through Afrobeats.”

Some months back, controversial Ghanaian dancehall artist, Shata Wale accused Nigerians and their artists of not “supporting Ghanaian artists”. His claim generated controversies online and offline.
