Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, is Europe’s fourth-best player based on recent four according to Whoscored.
The Nigerian has been in superb form, strongly tightening an extremely gifted Leicester City attacking side.
Based on average match ratings out of 10, weighted chronologically with the most recent match carrying greater importance, Lionel Messi pulls in a score of 8.84.
This puts him head and shoulders above his rivals, with Leicester ace James Maddison next up with a score of 8.11.
Maddison is joined by Foxes team-mates Jamie Vardy and Ndidi after Brendan Rodgers’ men fired themselves up to second in the Premier League with wins over Burnley, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
Chelsea star Willian also makes the top 10 while Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard make it into the top five of their respective leagues but miss out on the elite list.
